Hey Family,
Our Reunion went on as planned. It was a perfect weather day. Not too hot, not to cool, with a nice cross breeze. We enjoyed the day, the park, the food, the giveaways and most of all being together as family. Catching up and laughing together. For those of you that couldn’t make it, we missed you. There’s always next year to look forward to.
During our family meeting we discussed and agreed to name the college book fund in honor of Aunt Val and how she supported it since its inception.
We voted to hold a weekend Reunion in 2023. During the first or second weekend in August.
We’ll be exploring these venues:
1. Doubletree Hotel in Plymouth Meeting, PA
(Where we held Aunt Val’s 100
th Birthday Celebration)
2. The Sands Hotel & Conference Center in Rehoboth Beach, DE
(Where we held our 2018 Reunion)
3. or an undetermined location in Ocean City, NJ (Researching other possibilities and the least expensive)
We didn’t report on our Reunion Account and Book Fund and here is the following information:
Our current Reunion Account funds balance is: $2,177.
The current “Valdreace Hutcherson Family Book Fund” balance is: $300. (As of 8/13). Contributions still being accepted.
Nigel will continue to accept dues for 2022 and 2023 and Book Fund contributions through his Venmo account to @Nigel-Rew or via U.S. mail Nigel Rew at P. O. 256, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. Dues can also be sent via Venmo. Please include your full name, and what the money is for in the description for payment.
The user will have to download the Venmo app or go to the Venmo website, create an account, link the account to your bank account, and search for Nigel’s account. Nigel’s username is @Nigel-Rew. Dues is $25 per adult over 18, and not enrolled in college.
The College Book fund accepts contributions year-round and disbursements are made in September of each year. The cut-off date, to submit names for eligible students to receive a check, is September 15
th. Nigel will be sending checks to students that have started college or are returning to college by the end of September or as soon as he can. Please contribute what you can as the cumulative amount will be split evenly among students. Please send the name and address of your student to Nigel via email to
